Providing a home for people at risk of homelessness
Repurposing buildings, rebuilding lives
Project Basecamp provides transitional homes for people at risk of homelessness. Working with councils, charities and commercial property stakeholders, we create a safe, stable environment for those in need, at no cost and with no risk to the property owner.
What we do
We quietly help people facing homelessness by giving them a home and the support they need to get back on their feet.
We work with councils to house people considered ‘low risk’, offering realistic opportunities to move forward.
We partner with commercial property owners to turn empty buildings into secure accommodation at no cost.
We collaborate with charities to help property owners reduce their tax liability.

Who we are
With over 30 years’ experience protecting vacant commercial properties, Project Basecamp combines expertise with compassion. We don’t judge — we support people to turn things around.
While our work delivers social impact, cost savings for property owners, and efficiencies for housing teams, our purpose is simple: to ensure no one has to sleep in a car or doorway when there is space available to help them.
Public Sector
With over 13,000 people homeless in London and 180,000 in temporary accommodation, we understand the pressure councils and housing officers face.

Success Story

Milad’s story is a testament to the life-changing impact of Project Basecamp, and it reflects the very moment that inspired our mission. Our journey began when we met an ex-soldier sleeping in a tent, waiting to be housed by the council. He had been there for five weeks, enduring uncertainty and hardship. This encounter struck a chord with us, making us realise that we had the means to help — not just him, but anyone who found themselves homeless. It was a call to action we couldn’t ignore. Shortly after, Milad came into our lives. Facing the risk of homelessness, he found a safe haven in one of our repurposed buildings. With personalised support and access to our Develop Programme, Milad gained new skills and confidence, paving the way for a brighter future. His transformation mirrors the potential we saw in that ex-soldier and countless others — potential we are committed to unlocking through secure housing and opportunity.
